- What were your initial ideas for creating a website? style / name / template
My initial ideas for my website were firstly that I wanted something simple with solid colors, easy to understand and use, for the template it was very easy because the software that we are using does not have a lot of options and the name is just my progression route.
.
- Do you have a tagline on your website?
I did not use a tagline for my website I instead used a quote from Antoni Gaudi that explains the concept of nature and architecture.
- Which designers / artists (relevant to your continuation route) websites did you look for inspiration?
I chose two research on two Colombian architectures first I research on Daniel Bonilla and then on Diana Wesner, I took for inspiration the priority the make of images and how they use color on their websites.
- How many pages did you want to make on your website and why? Did that change as you progressed onto the research / designing stage?
For my website I used 4 pages they are Home- Portfolio - About - Contact I don't think there is a necessity on adding another page, because the portfolio page that is the one with the most information is probably going to have sub pages if the information of my works becomes very extending in detail.
- What is the purpose of your website?
The purpose of my website is to inform people about my works as a architecture student and in the future to inform my clients about my projects.
- Who are your potential website users?
My potential users could be generation z or millennia's depending on the purpose of their search.
- Why do you think it is important to have a digital portfolio website?
A portfolio is a necessity but a digital portfolio is a better way of communicating the thinks you want to inform a client or employer, the digital era is very useful when you want to have a a large impact in a audience because is a way of getting to this audience.
- Which design elements / tools did you use? (e.g.: infographics, fixed header, static background image, navigation menu design, text boxes, image galleries, social media feed) and why?
I used a variety of tools, each depending on what I wanted to create, but I used the site design tool, the image gallery tool, social media link, the text tool and some other tolls to change the color or font my writing.
- Which template did you use in Wix and why?
I used an architecture template because that is my progrecion route, but I chose the one I am using specifically because I liked the way the images were display in the portafolio page.
