Process: Floor Plan

In this post, I will be adding my floor plan for my ground level and my first level, and explaining why I chose does areas on each floor and location. And what was more difficult about the design. I made the Floor plan using a digital website called 'Home by me' which I have already used previously in another project.

Ground Floor

For the Ground Floor, I had some basic necessities I needed to cover, these were the gift shop, the valley, and the learning zone, the difficult part was locating the workshop because I was not sure if it was appropriate for it to be next to the most public area of the building, and was figuring out if the kitchen could go where the kitchen was located, the different types of wood are represented in different colours, the dark one being the more water and corrosion resistant.

First Floor

For the First floor, I intended to make space only for the crew, this was designed with a kitchen, dining area, pantry for storage, laundry, showers and bathrooms next to the resting area and an office for storage of documents or to used by the head of staff. Then there is a training area that could be used for recreation purposes or to train and qualify new volunteers depending on the necessity of the moment. Then there is the Valley I decided to open the floor of the second floor so that the boat did not have problems in the space.

I had to remake the first-floor plan because I forgot that the design did not include a second floor in the left side of the building. In this remake of the floor, I did not include the training space as it was not a primary or high important space.
