Creating a website: Home page

In class today we started to make a website on wix this website would focus on my progression route architecture

I began choosing a template o the website, by searching for templets related to architecture and chose the one I liked more.

After I chose the template, I began to find the font that I wanted for my menu, as well as the font that I wanted for my name and the subtitle that would be my progression route. I use a font called Quicksand in my name in Sixes 32 and Rubik Light in Sixes 325 for my subtitle. I use the same font as the one in my name in the menu options and change the style.

I added another picture as the background an original picture of mine, a landscape, I added this by downloading it and then clicking on 'image' then 'upload media'  I figured that the color of the letters needed to be more notorious, So I changed the background color to a lighter green I did this by clicking on 'site design' and then 'page background' I chose the color I wanted and adjusted the letters better.

After I fixed the color of the letters by clicking twice and the 'Color', and adding a background to the menu so the letters stand up more, I erase the things I don't need as well.

To end with it I added a text box and pasted a Quote from Antoni Gaudi in font Cormorant, size 16 I had to add highlights in a different color so the letters could be readable. To finalize it I changed the Copyright text and added the correct name and year, additionally, I changed the color, I double click and chose 'Change footer design' then clicked on 'Fill color and opacity'   and saved it. I had to repeat this process because the first time I didn't understand completely the steps,  I will be working more on this and uploading it to my blog.

  1. Good that you have posted what you have done so far - do add to this with further design or changes - you need much more technical detail here though about the tools you used on Wix as this is important for assessment
