Kengo Kuma
Is an architect originally from Yokohama, Japan, he studied at the university of Tokyo and graduated on 1979. and them moved to New York to study at the Columbia university as a visiting researcher from 1985 to 1986. He then returned to Japan in 1986 and founded 'Kengo Kuma and associates` on 1990. An international architectonic firm that now has multiple projects around the globe. He is know for his concern on reviving the traditional culrture by mixing it with a modern stile, This is why he is focus on using materials related to janease traditons, he has also propose ways to incorporate natural resources such as ligth and making confort and art a priority in his designs.

One of my favorite proyects of his is called Biophilic Garden Tea House made in assosiation with the garden designer Kazuyuki Ishihara for the garden at the Chelsea Show 2023, where it won the gold medal, it is located in London. I found this construction so beautifull because it blends with the enviroment so well it looks like it grows out of it.
Another of his works is a Kindergarden in Saitama City, Japan, called Aitaku Kindergarden, It is the conbination of a kindergarden and a nursery school which makes it a early education and care center, that takes care of 150 children, I liked the idea bevuase he reuse two small houses two make a big house made out with mayoriy wood so it made the space look more confortable to the kids.
