Initial visual research - Location

In this post, I will be developing research on the location of my family home, starting with I had to take into account the context, the environment the client is going to interact with, and found out that Victoria, Canada, in the province of British Columbia is a very good option for families, different locations around the island are residential areas. and is very close to a major city.
History

In 1778, an explorer named James Cook reached the island, as well as the navigator George Vancouver, who returned to explore the island, which later received its name. Trading has and will always be part of its economy, and the Hudson company got to build Fort Camosun in 1843, which was later changed to Fort Victoria in honour of the Queen.
In 1849, Vancouver Island became a British Crown colony, and in 1852 the settlement was formalised and named Victoria. Coal and Agriculture were its main sources of economy.  But the population was not so big until the discovery of gold in 1858. This made the population grow significantly. This was also the year that British Columbia was made a crown colony. During the growth of the population, Victoria became one of the main cities in the western region of the country.

The district where my house will be located, Saanich, has multiple residential areas like Cordoba Bay and Royal Oak, most known for their parks and recreational facilities. It is important to know as well that approximately 23.4% of the population is over 65 years old.  Victoria is also known for its temperate climate, the moderate yet humid winters and the dry summers. This type of climate is normally called cool-summer Mediterranean. (Lovegrove, n.d.)
