Development - First Prototype

In this post, I will be talking about my first prototype. This prototype is based on the sketch I made from the AI images and was made using the following materials: grey board and thin cardboard.

This part of the process is important because it helped me understand how my project would have look like and what are the this that I will need to improve if making this design, after analysing it further I came to the conclusion that my other is more suitable for this project taking account the concept I am working on and the location I have been considering.

Regardless of the mistakes I made, the outcome presented for my first prototype is good, I had to repeat one of the blocks because I forgot to add windows, apart from that I made the cuts for was it would be the windows in the edges the wrong way I made the cut in the inside and not in the eout side, that caused the border to break, this mistake made me realize I need to practice more my technique in traditional model making.

If I had chosen this model, I would have made the materials thicker, as it looks too fragile, and the materials I used broke easily.
