For this post, I will be reflecting on the work I have done so far in term of the work I made on this semester I consider is a good project I learn form the mistakes I made on my last two projects so I was not lost entirely, I had develop skills in different areas that help develop my project more efficiently, but for example in terms of what was successful I consider my research a very good improvement as I at first had a mayor difficulty with explaining my work and how it related to the research I was doing, over time this changed and the idea of what and how it was related was easier to explained. I learned how to make use of different software's like AutoCAD, and SketchUp. I also got the opportunity to work with laser cutting for the first time as well as on 3D printing, Every mistake I made made me learn and develop my skills and knowledge, it also over time make me gain patience and problem solving abilities as not always the idea I had in mind came to life due to different adversities during the process and I came to understand that sometimes it is good it helps me evolved and mature in the way I process and deal with stress situations.
My last project was hard in the beginning as I did not had a clear idea of what I wanted to accomplish or overall the purpose of my project, I had to not only make it functional and pretty from the outside but I had to take into account a possible client. I thing that the main problem of my project majority of the time is that I lack of a purpose, at the end I came up with so many ideas, but it was to late to change and develop another, so I started to consider it more something I was obligated to finish and not something I wanted to do. But overall I consider a good job, maybe I could have added more work on my sketches or in the development of the design, but I consider I completed the project to the requirements of my brief, I tried to make it sustainable but didn't wanted to make it stand out to much in the area it was at, I could have improve my 3D outcome with more details and less imperfections but I guess overtime this is something I will need to improve with practice, I also thing I need to start talking more or maybe not more but not only explain it in the important factors and explain in more detail what it was important as a third person probably need a more extend explanation on why, and what is the purpose or intention on each step of the process. I improve on my drawing skills and got to make a section drawing, that could have been improved as well. I consider the work I made through out the course valuable as it teach me different things in different ways and prepare me for what I am expected to do for probably the rest of my life I understood there are some aspects of my habits and some points I have to work on as my abilities in different areas need improvement. In terms Of language skills I consider I have improve, regardless I have to work on my connectors and my vocabulary as I often repeat the same words and don't evolved on my explanations.
I hope hat my years on DMU are not like my beginning at DMUIC, I do not think it would be or at least I hop it is not, I still have to learn a lot of things regarding my study habits and my abilities, but more importantly I need to work on my organization, and need to find a way to let my words say more than my actions, as I wil need to express my ideas to future clients in the future.
